Under the Scotch Broom by Allison M. Dickson

Like I said, if you don't like it you can always delete it, but I'm fairly confident most people will enjoy her brand of humor. Do yourself a favor and just download it, right now. Obviously, I very much recommend this book. I sincerely hope you all find Allison as entertaining as I do, and write good reviews for her stories to help spread the word and make her some money! She'll never get rich selling short stories for 99 cents, and she'll definitely never get rich giving them away for free, but if we all support her with good reviews of her stories, maybe she'll at least get a little something back from her hard work, and maybe that will be enough to encourage her to keep on writing! Really, though, I doubt many of you readers will delete this collection before you finish reading it.

Besides, she's being good enough to offer this entire collection FREE during the holiday season, so how can you possibly go wrong? If you don't like some or all of it, just delete it! You won't be out a penny. I simply enjoy reading her short stories, and I think a lot of other people will enjoy them, too. I will NOT make any money, earn any brownie points, or garner any other sort of profit from writing this review. (Actually, I DID receive a free copy, but that's only because it's free for everybody right now!) I am NOT related to the author. Just to be perfectly clear, I did NOT receive a free copy of this book from the author. I will probably even post reviews of the few stories I haven't read and/or reviewed yet, so other people will hopefully have a chance to discover this entertaining writer. I fully intend to read this entire book, even though many of the stories will be repeats for me, because they are worth re-reading. Allison Dickson is a clever, funny, talented, imaginative writer who cranks out good stories like other people breathe. About STRINGS: After four years of turning tricks in a mob-run New York brothel to pay off a debt, Nina is ready to go back to a quiet life in Iowa. But I HAVE read many of the individual shorts of which it's comprised, and I just have to give it a good review right up front. After early success with short stories including Dust and Under the Scotch Broom she has now produced her debut book a dark contemporary fiction novel titled STRINGS.
